Cold winter

Last weekend my nieces and I built a beatiful igloo in my garden. That was good fun!

The next day the temperatures dropped and have stayed below zero since. So we've had real winter and strong frost in the past week. Last night the thermometer reached a record low of -20°C.

I checked to see if our lake, Ilsesee, is frozen over. It is, and beautifully so. The ice is crystal clear. It almost looks like water in the photo. But it's not yet strong enough to walk or skate on. A few more days with unchanged weather should make it...
