Morgunblaðið article

The Icelandic newspaper Morgunblaðið has featured a double page article about me and my parent's visit to Iceland. I am really overwhelmed.

Of course my Icelandic is still much too small to understand the text, but I hope to find some friendly people who will translate it for me.

The right-hand column is an interview with me, it also mentions this blog!

Anyway, I'm very happy and impressed of this attention. It proves to me how much the saying is true that Icelanders care 10 times more about their history than probably any other country.

Hallo Martin,

der Link zur Zeitungs-Wikipedia-Seite funktioniert nicht, da die Sonderzeichen nicht richtig interpretiert werden.

Hallo Martin
I read the article in the Morgunblað with interest, especially since when your great great grandfather travelled in Iceland his guide was my great great grandfather Ólafur Ólafsson. He is mentioned in a few places in Konrad Mauers book. Ólafur may have been the first professional guide in Iceland because he had earlier travelled around Iceland with Lord Dufferin, who later became Governor of Canada.

Hello Sigurður, that's wonderful, I was hoping to somehow find a descendant of Ólafur Ólafsson! I sent you an email.
