Summer laziness

Ah! It's so good to be lazy and enjoy the German summer. We had two weeks of rain, but now one week of beautiful sunshine. I went several times swimming to the lakes at and near my home town. I bicycle. And I enjoy the beergardens. Radler. Weisswurst. Leberkaes. All kinds of Kuchen. Lots of bread. Shopping groceries and drinks is so cheap here, compared to Australia!

And when I'm not lazy I'm writing job applications or brush up my musical skills with friends.

Welcome to Martin's Tuckerbag, my new blog!

This is the continuation of Martin's Aussie Blog, back in Europe, in Germany to be precise.

If you wonder about the name, "tuckerbag" is an Australian slang term I took from the song Waltzing Matilda. A tuckerbag is a bag used to carry food in the outback. It's a travel companion so to speak, and this blog will tell of my continued journey. I'll maybe also share some "food" here -- random stuff I come across that might interest you.
