Portugal

We are just back from a wonderful holiday in Portugal, full of impressions of this beautiful country in the far south-west of Europe.

We took a plane to Lisbon and then had a rental car and nearly three weeks time to explore Portugal in all its length.
Lisbon is hilly -- really hilly. And it was hot when we were there: 35 °C. Thankfully there's shadow between the tall houses.
At Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe.
Coimbra, a beautiful historic university town, where we went to a Fado concert.
Mountain hiking in Montesinho Natural Park in the very north, near the border to Spain.
In Porto, a very fine city, prettier than Lisbon if you ask me.
And so very beautiful by night. We had a port wine tasting in Porto.
What I loved about Portual was the smell of the Eucalyptus trees, which so reminded me of Australia. Here we are hiking in the Alentejo.
At the Costa Vicentina.
The cool Atlantic Ocean.
