Winter has come

Look: so much snow! Winter wonderland in Germany.

And I'm down with an influenzal infection (aka common cold) since 3 weeks.

Cough cough... ATCHOO!!!

Neue Wohnung

Hurra, ich hab nun auch ne neue Wohnung ab 1.12. Dann gibt's den grossen Umzug, ich kann all meine eingelagerten Moebel endlich wieder holen und hab dann wieder mein eigenes Zuhause!

Ist ne schoene helle Erdgeschosswohnung in Koenigsbrunn, mit Fussbodenheizung und eigenem kleinen Garten, nach Sueden ausgerichtet und in ruhiger Wohnlage. Ich bin echt happy, dass ich sie gefunden und bekommen habe.

In English: Hooray, I found a new flat (or "unit" as you say in Australia) where I can move in next month with all my furniture and things that have been waiting in storage since Nov 2008. It will be great to have my own place again!

The singer is Ali Mills and the language is Top End's Kriol, a combination of languages said to have grown organically from the meeting of Aboriginal, European and Chinese people around Darwin.

Engelshof

Today was a public holiday in Bavaria (All Saints' Day) and I went on a nice long walk in the Stauden, to an inn named Engelshof. It is located in a big clearing in the forest that can only be reached on foot (or bicycle, or horseback).

They had a really cool goat there. But I look cool too, wearing my hat from Australia! ;)
